Visits, loans and donations

Visits to the Collections

Access to the collections at the Natural History Museum of Denmark is available to research scientists, graduate students, and other visitors with a documented scientific interest.

Visits are by appointment only.

Guided tours for non-research groups can be arranged on a limited basis.

Loans and Sampling Requests

Requests for loans, tissue samples, or research visits should be directed to the relevant curator or collection manager. See full list here.

If the collection in question does not currently have an assigned curator, please contact the Head of Collections.

Donations

The museum welcomes donations of objects, collections, and archival materials of natural history relevance.

If you believe your material may be of interest, please send a short description along with photographs so it can be assessed.

Please note that all donations are evaluated according to the museum’s collection criteria, and not all material can be accepted.

Read our guidelines for donations here.
