The alcohol and dry preparations

The collection of alcohol and dry preparations contains about 20,000 three-dimensional objects stored in bottles, boxes or plastic bags. About 65 % of them are preserved in alcohol. The collection contains 63 known types, but the real number of such important specimens is probably considerably higher. All the objects are numbered and registered in a card index. This collection is unique in preserving structural features of flowers, fruits etc. much better than pressed specimens. The about 450 bottles of Podostemonaceae probably constitutes the most important part of this collection.
