Hemiptera and smaller insect orders collections in numbers

Strengths
- Types of I.C. Fabricius: For all insect orders, the Fabricius collection (late 18th- early 19th century) is particularly important.
- Protura: The worldwide collection of S.L. Tuxen, with many types.
- Odonata: a large collection, covering a high proportion of the genera of the world. Among the older material are the types of H.E. Hagen and E. de Selys Longchamps. Particular strengths are material from the Oriental region.
- Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, non-parasitic Psocodea: small but representative collections, primarily thanks to the P. Esben-Petersen collection.
- Hemiptera: Particular strengths are the Heteroptera types of A.C. Jensen-Haarup and the N.M. Andersen collection of Heteroptera Gerromorpha.
- Neuroptera, Rhaphidoptera, Megaloptera, Mecoptera: The worldwide collection of P. Esben-Petersen, with several types, is noteworthy.
- Trichoptera: a moderately-sized collection; particular strengths are the very comprehensive material of immature Danish Trichoptera collected and identified by A. Nielsen; a large material of alcohol-preserved adults and immatures from E. African montane forest streams; a large alcohol-preserved material (mainly from light traps) of adults from austral S. America.
